Two people are dead after a fiery 18-wheeler wreck at the Georgia welcome center off I-95.

Georgia State Patrol tells us a tractor trailing was driving into the welcome center at a high speed and slammed into another truck, and another and another.

The chain reaction crash caught fire and, in all, six tractor trailers are now scrap metal and two truckers are dead.

“I really feel bad for the people who died here. It's the worst thing that could happen to anybody to die, but in such a horrible way. It's just really too bad,” Greg Hayden, whose travelling, told WJCL 22.

Troopers say the first driver and the driver of the truck they slammed into are dead. The second driver, according to GSP, was likely sleeping when it happened. The four other drivers were able to escape the blaze.

“I've seen a lot of accidents, I've been on the road a lot, but I've never seen two trucks like that burn as bad as they're burned like that,” said Hayden.

All that's left is melted rubber, from the load inside one of the trucks, firefighting foam and the wild video of the incident.

None of the truckers involved have been identified yet. Troopers say it's unclear if the first trucker that caused the accident was experiencing a medical emergency.
