Scooter rider rolls beneath trailer in fatal accident
Scooter rider rolls beneath trailer in fatal Kansas City accident on Wednesday evening.
The accident happened on April 3rd in Kansas City, Missouri just after 7 p.m. at the intersection of 6th and Prospect.
According to KCTV 5, the scooter rider was traveling west on 6th Street when the rider failed to stop at a stop sign intersection. The rider then rolled into the intersection and right underneath the trailer of a semi truck heading south on Prospect.
The scooter rider was then run over by the rear wheels on the trailer, and the truck driver left the scene of the accident. The unidentified rider was pronounced dead at the scene while officers searched for the truck driver.
The driver was found a short time later by police officers. The incident is still under investigation.
