One person is dead after a truck driver missed a stop sign in Kansas over the weekend.

The accident happened at around 8:30 a.m. in Riley County, Kansas on July 25th.

According to WIBW News, 81-year-old truck driver Russell Peterson was heading east on Green Randolph Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 77 and Green Randolph Rd. As a result, Peterson crashed into the driver’s side of a car passing through the intersection. Both vehicles then went skidding off the road and into a nearby ditch.
