A trucker is in the hospital with burns after a four wheeler cut them off in Kentucky on Wednesday, causing them to overturn.

The accident happened on May 11th in Louisville at around 6:45 p.m. on the Watterson Expressway near Taylorsville Road.

According to WHAS 11 News, a semi truck was heading west on Interstate 264, or the Watterson Expressway when a four wheeler cut in front of the rig. The semi truck then swerved to avoid a collision but lost control and struck a concrete barrier. The truck then overturned and burst into flames.

The truck driver was burned in the wreck. It is not clear how serious their burns are, but they are expected to survive. Witnesses say that the four wheeler fled the scene following the wreck. No further information has been released.

I-264 was shut down for around five hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage. It has since been reopened.
