J.B. Hunt announces new company president
J.B. Hunt announced the appointment of their new president on Wednesday.
Shelley Simpson, 28-year-veteran of the company and current vice president and chief commercial officer, will step into the role of president on August 1st. She will oversee trucking, intermodal, human resources, and all technology initiatives, the company said in a statement.
Simpson drove the creation of J.B. Hunt’s online shipper portal, J.B. Hunt 360 and oversaw the growth of their intermodal revenue in the past two years, reported JOC.
“If you look at the most disruptive areas of our company, from new technologies to global commercialization to investments in our people, Shelley’s innovative leadership has always guided us toward positive results,” CEO John Roberts said in a statement.
