A prominent Tik Tok trucker was brought home after a fatal crash thanks to a nonprofit aimed at reducing the cost and work for families of the deceased.

52-year-old Steven Raley used his Tik Tok platform to share what life is like while OTR. In his last video, which has been taken down along with his account, he voices his desire to make it home for his home time. Unfortunately, Raley lost his life a short time later in a single-rig wreck in Kansas.

“He was involved in a crash in Kansas and we were able to do all the logistical work for the family,” said Robert Palm, founder of Truckers Final Mile. “There were two funeral homes involved, one at each end. We have paid out all the costs that are needed to bring him home to Birmingham. He’s home.”

“They were most grateful for what we did to help them get Steven home,” Palm said to 6 WBRC. “It can be a very dangerous job. Approximately 1500 to 2000 drivers will pass away out on the road.”

Raley will be laid to rest late this week. If you would like to donate to help other families of drivers who lost their lives out on the road, click here.
