A trucker and their furry co-pilot were reunited this week after becoming separated during a wreck.

The accident that separated them happened on May 10th on Highway 412 in Greene County, Arkansas.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the tractor-trailer overturned just east of the Highway 412 and Highway 228 intersection, causing the dog, Blu, to flee the scene.

The truck driver suffered only minimal injuries in the incident, but was left without their trusted companion. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office then asked the public for help in locating the dog in a Facebook post, and the community went to work searching for Blu.

After a night on her own, Blu was found at a propane terminal on Friday morning, May 12th, where a couple was able to snag her and keep her safe until the trucker arrived for the reunion.

“It was a heartwarming reunion, to say the least,” the Greene County Sheriff’s Department wrote.
