A missing lumber truck driver may be wandering around the area confused following his serious accident last Thursday, police say.

The March 7th crash happened near Frame, West Virginia in the 1700 block of Hurricane Road, which is not suitable for commercial vehicles. 39-year-old Carlos Bonifaciomunoz was not found at the scene of the wreck and has not been seen for several days.

According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, Bonifaciomunoz left the scene of the wreck before first responders arrived and called a family member in New Jersey. That family member told police that Bonifaciomunoz was on Spencer Road near Cotton, West Virginia at the time of the call.

Since that call, no one has heard from the missing lumber truck driver, and police have been unable to contact or locate him.

Officers believe that Bonifaciomunoz is in the Elkview, West Virginia area. He is potentially injured and “may not be aware of his whereabouts.” Anyone with information on Bonifaciomunoz is urged to contact Deputy C.M. Hill with the Kanawah County Sheriff’s Office at 304-357-0169.
