Masked suspect entered parked big rig, beat trucker with crowbar during robbery, Florida cops say

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office (SJSO) is asking for public help in finding a suspect who beat a trucker with a crowbar during a recent armed robbery.

 

The robbery occurred at 10:15 p.m. on March 21 at CR 204 and US1 South in St. Johns County, Florida.

“The victim, a semi-truck driver, had pulled his rig off the side of the road near a vacant lot to rest. An unknown suspect entered the truck cabin armed with a firearm and small crowbar; the suspect hit the victim in the head multiple times with the firearm and fled with cash and the victim’s cell phone,” SJSO said in a news release.

After the attack, the truck driver found his phone outside of the truck and called the police.

police say that the suspect was completely concealed with a hoodie, a full face mask, dark glasses, and gloves.
