One dead following crash, big rig fire, on Memphis interstate

Police say that one person was killed following a collision that led to a big rig fire on a Memphis interstate on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 4:20 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, on I-40 at Sycamore View Drive.
The Memphis Police Department reports that a two vehicle accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-40.
Following the crash, the semi truck became completely engulfed in flames.
One person was reported dead at the scene.
Another person was hospitalized with non-critical injuries.
The incident is under investigation.
