A call from a concerned citizen helped Canadian cops put the brakes on a steel coil hauler with a cracked trailer frame.
On Tuesday, April 9, Ontario Provincial Police – Highway Safety Division (OPP) said that a citizen called in to report a tractor trailer with a cracked trailer frame.

Officers with Burlington OPP were able to locate the truck on QEW/Royal Windsor Drive.
The tractor trailer was hauling a 48,000 pound steel coil.

Police were able to confirm the caller’s report of damage, and issued charges to the driver and trucking company.
“Always do a pretrip inspection!” OPP said.
