Big rigs targeted by two shooters parked along Alabama interstate, police say

Police in Alabama are investigating a shooting incident targeting two big rigs traveling on a busy interstate.

 

The shooting incident occurred around 3 a.m. on Friday, April 12, in Macon County, Alabama.

According to WRBL, suspects in a pickup truck and a mid-sized vehicle were parked along northbound I-85 near mile marker 32.

 

The two suspects reportedly opened fire on two passing 18 wheelers, striking the cabs of both vehicles.

Neither truck driver was injured. Both drivers were able to pull off I-85 safely and call the police.

The suspects fled the scene before police arrived.

 

The truck drivers told police that there was no road rage incident or other altercation leading up to the shooting.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
