The incident occurred around 11 a.m. in a construction zone on K-4 between Meriden and Valley Falls, Kansas.

Troopers say that a truck driver raised his bed to dump the contents of the trailer and struck a power line.

The truck caught fire soon after the power line strike.

The truck driver was reportedly able to escape the truck fire but was electrocuted.
