A man puts ratchet strap strength myths to the test in this interesting experiment.
Some say that a ratchet strap loses 50% of its load capacity if there’s a twist in it, so this man and popular Youtuber set out to put that myth to the test.
In the video, Fireball Tool even tests a variety of strap scenarios including water soaked, knotted, and multiple twists; complete with slow-mo footage of strap ‘explosions’ and charts outlining how each strap performed.
The results? Watch the video experiment to find out. (Or just fast forward to the end – He provides a very useful table!)
