Traffic was brought to a halt in Chesterfield County, Virginia on Wednesday morning after a tractor trailer overturned on westbound Hull Street Road, leading to a fuel leak and prompting a hazmat response.

The incident occurred between Route 288 and Old Hundred Road, where crews from Chesterfield Fire & EMS, including the Hazmat Team, worked to contain the spill and clear the scene.

According to WWBT NBC12, drivers were advised to seek alternate routes while the cleanup was underway.

Though initial reports suggested the closure would last several hours, all lanes have since reopened and the scene has been cleared. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
