ROCKY HILL, Conn. — A tractor-trailer fire shut down a stretch of Interstate 91 South in Rocky Hill Monday night and left one firefighter with a minor injury, according to fire officials.
Crews were called to the scene around 9:34 p.m. near the Exit 23 on-ramp, where they found the tractor-trailer fully engulfed in flames. Officials said the trailer was hauling refrigerated food at the time of the blaze.

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle safely and was not injured. Firefighters worked for hours to bring the fire under control and clear the scene.
According to WTNH, the injured firefighter was treated for a minor injury and is expected to recover.
The highway was closed in the area during the response.
