Truck Driver Dies After Crashing Amazon Semi into Bridge Pillar on I-10 in El Paso

A 37-year-old truck driver from Aurora, Colorado died after a serious early-morning crash involving his Amazon Prime semi-truck on Interstate 10 in El Paso, Texas, according to local authorities.
The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, September 27, when the truck veered off I-10 East near the Schuster exit, striking a cement post beneath the Spur 1966 bridge, not far from the University of Texas at El Paso.
According to CBS4 El Paso, the victim, identified as Mohamed Ali Mumin, was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead due to his injuries.
The accident led to major traffic disruptions in the area, with multiple lane closures on I-10 that remained in effect until the scene was fully cleared at approximately 4 p.m. Friday.
The El Paso Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
