CENTRE COUNTY, Pennsylvania — A farm tractor driver who fell asleep at the wheel caused a crash involving two tractor-trailers early Saturday morning in Potter Township, according to local officials.

The collision occurred around 2:30 a.m. along the 2300 block of General Potter Highway, Chief Brian Tice of the Centre Hall Volunteer Fire Company told WTAJ News.

Investigators said the farm tractor drifted across the center line after the driver reportedly fell asleep, colliding with a westbound tractor-trailer. The impact caused that semi to sideswipe another tractor-trailer traveling east, resulting in minor damage to the second truck’s trailer.
