AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — A major crash involving a car, a pickup, a dump truck hauling excavating equipment, and a semi shut down Lapeer Road late Monday morning, creating a chaotic scene captured from aerial footage.

The crash occurred before 11 a.m. on Lapeer Road between Harmon Road and Interpark Drive, just south of Dutton/Brown Road. Photos from the scene show a white car with heavy driver-side damage in the grass off the northbound lanes, a white pickup with front-end damage stopped nearby, and a semi-truck hauler facing sideways across the road. A red dump truck in the turnaround lost the excavating equipment it was towing, which slid off the trailer during the collision.

According to ClickOnDetroit, police have not released details about injuries or the cause of the crash. The road was closed for several hours as crews worked to remove debris and clear the scene.
