BART TOWNSHIP, Pa.— Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a suspected DUI crash after a dump truck rear-ended an SUV and plunged into a creek early Wednesday morning.

Troopers said the crash happened around 5:57 a.m. on October 29 in the 100 block of Hollow Road in Bart Township.

According to investigators, an older-model Ford F700 dump truck struck the rear of a Hyundai SUV, then continued off the roadway and crashed into a nearby creek.

The dump truck’s driver, a 32-year-old man, was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for evaluation and questioning but was not injured, police said.

The 62-year-old woman driving the SUV was transported to the hospital with minor head and back injuries, though troopers later reported she had no ongoing injuries.

Police said the incident remains under investigation as a suspected DUI crash, and charges are pending the outcome of toxicology results.

According to WGAL News 8, the 100 block of Hollow Road was closed for several hours while crews worked to remove the truck and clean up the scene.
