Truck driver ignores three warning signs and ends up stuck in ditch near Gilroy
GILROY, Calif. — A semi-truck driver wound up in a ditch Tuesday morning after ignoring multiple road signs warning trucks not to enter, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

CHP’s Hollister-Gilroy Division said the incident happened along San Juan Highway toward San Juan Bautista. Despite three regulatory signs advising against taking the road, the truck driver continued on and discovered too late that the vehicle couldn’t make a tight roundabout ahead.

Unable to maneuver, the driver tried to back up but slid off the roadway and into a ditch.
“The CHP Hollister-Gilroy Area reminds all drivers to stay alert, drive safely, and obey all posted traffic signs,” troopers said. “Ignoring them can lead to serious consequences.”
