Impaired box truck driver crashes into cars and Raleigh home, tries to flee on foot
RALEIGH, N.C. — A box truck driver was arrested early Friday after allegedly crashing into multiple vehicles and a house, then attempting to flee the scene on foot, according to the Raleigh Police Department.
Officers responded around 12:30 a.m. to the 500 block of Raleigh Pines Drive, where they found a box truck lodged in the front of a home and two damaged vehicles — a Buick Enclave and a Ford F-150. No injuries were reported.

Police identified the driver as Kenyon Tyree Pelzer, 27, of Raleigh. Court documents show Pelzer’s blood alcohol level was 0.09, just above the legal limit for commercial drivers. Investigators say he tried to flee the scene before being located around 2:30 a.m.
Pelzer has been charged with:

Three counts of misdemeanor hit-and-run (property damage)

Misdemeanor commercial driving while impaired

Misdemeanor driving while impaired
Neighbors reported additional property damage, saying the truck also struck three vehicles and part of another home next door.

Police said the box truck bore an “LCM Logistics LLC” logo from Durham, N.C. Federal records show the company’s registration as inactive, according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) database.
According to CBS 17, Pelzer is scheduled to appear in Wake County court in December.
