19 people, mostly juveniles, injured after church bus overturns on Highway 330 in Inland Empire
RUNNING SPRINGS, Calif. — Nineteen people, most of them juveniles, were injured Sunday night when a church bus overturned on Highway 330 in the Inland Empire, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 9 p.m., shutting down the highway in both directions for several hours as crews responded. Authorities said the bus was carrying about 36 passengers, including adults and teenagers, traveling from a church group headed to Santa Ana.

Three people suffered serious injuries, while the remaining victims sustained minor injuries, officials said.
Witnesses reported that the bus caught fire before crashing and flipping over. One bystander told KABC the driver appeared to lose control on a curve, striking a wall before overturning.
Emergency crews helped all passengers escape safely, with some climbing through the top hatch to exit the vehicle.

Authorities said there is no suspicion of DUI, but the cause of the crash remains under investigation, according to KABC.
