Tractor-trailer crash spills diesel on I-90 in Henrietta, prompting Hazmat response
HENRIETTA, N.Y. — A tractor-trailer crashed into the median of the New York State Thruway on Sunday afternoon, causing a large diesel fuel spill and major traffic delays between the Le Roy and Henrietta exits, according to the Henrietta Fire District.
Hazmat personnel were called to the scene to contain and mitigate the fuel spill, while firefighters, New York State Police, and the Thruway Authority worked to secure the area and restore traffic flow.

The truck remained lodged in the median, but no injuries were reported.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes were significantly impacted, and motorists were urged to use caution, expect delays, or seek alternate routes.
Crews continued working through the afternoon to safely clear the roadway.
