Driver Killed After Vehicle Rear-Ends Snowplow on I-94 in Waukesha County
WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. — A deadly crash involving a Waukesha County snowplow caused major traffic disruptions on westbound Interstate 94 Monday morning, according to the Waukesha County Department of Public Works.
The crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. near Springdale Road, where a county-operated snowplow — with its warning lights activated — was clearing snow along the shoulder of I-94. Officials say a vehicle traveling westbound rear-ended the snowplow.
The snowplow operator was not injured and immediately attempted to assist the other driver until emergency crews arrived.

Wisconsin State Patrol confirmed that the driver who struck the plow was transported to a nearby hospital, where they later died from their injuries.
The crash forced authorities to divert westbound traffic off the interstate at Bluemound Road/Barker Road, leading to significant delays for motorists throughout the morning.
According to Fox6 News, Wisconsin State Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
