SUV Slams Into Semi on I-65 During Traffic Backup, Driver Airlifted to Hospital
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — An SUV driver was airlifted to a Nashville hospital Tuesday evening after crashing into the rear of a semi-truck on Interstate 65 amid slow-moving traffic conditions, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded just before the 20.2-mile marker northbound, where traffic had been backed up due to an unrelated Kentucky State Police investigation near the 23–24 mile markers. As vehicles slowed, an SUV collided with a semi-truck, leaving the SUV driver entrapped inside the vehicle.

Emergency crews extricated the driver, who was then taken by ambulance to The Medical Center at Bowling Green before being flown to Skyline Hospital in Nashville for further treatment.

A Level Two collision investigation was conducted at the scene. Multiple agencies assisted, including the Warren County Fire Department, Alvaton Fire Department, Bowling Green Fire Department, Medical Center EMS, and the Kentucky Department of Highways.
According to local officials, the crash remains under investigation as crews continue evaluating contributing factors.
