Semi-Truck Flips in Dense Fog and Slick Conditions on Highway 90 Near San Antonio
MEDINA COUNTY, Texas — An overturned tractor-trailer caused significant delays on Highway 90 Friday morning as dense fog and slick roads created hazardous driving conditions.
The crash happened in the eastbound lanes near Dunlay and Castroville, about 30 minutes west of San Antonio. Medina County Fire and EMS responded to the scene shortly after 8 a.m. and confirmed that the semi-truck had flipped, blocking traffic and forcing vehicles onto the shoulder.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
Visibility in the area has been extremely limited due to a dense fog advisory issued for the I-35 corridor, which remained in effect through 10 a.m. The National Weather Service urged drivers to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and maintain extra distance on the road.
Fog and slick pavement are believed to be contributing factors as first responders continue working to clear the scene. Drivers are advised to use caution and expect delays.
This incident remains under active response, according to Medina County Fire and EMS.
