Overturned Tractor-Trailer Blocks Wade Green Road Exit on I-75 South, Traffic Backs Up for Miles
COBB COUNTY, GEORGIA — A tractor-trailer overturned early Friday morning on Interstate 75 South in Cobb County, blocking the Wade Green Road exit and shutting down multiple lanes as police investigated what was described as a serious injury collision and crews worked to clear the wreck.

The crash happened around 6:00 a.m. at the Wade Green Road exit, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. Cobb County Police said at least one person was seriously injured.

Footage from the scene showed the tractor-trailer on its side, lying across the grass median and the exit lanes. Although the crash occurred on the exit ramp, police activity and recovery work also blocked the two right lanes of I-75 South, adding to the congestion.
By approximately 8:30 a.m., traffic maps showed delays stretching back past Woodstock Road, with impacts reported into Cherokee and Bartow counties. An update reported that as of 9:50 a.m., the situation remained ongoing and crews were still on scene working to clear the truck, with the exit continuing to be closed while the investigation proceeded.
The cause of the crash has not been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
