The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded at 10:50 a.m. to southbound US-127 south of Bellevue Road in Leslie Township after a semi-truck lost control in the snow and slid into the median.

Authorities said that crash led to a traffic backup, and at approximately 11:30 a.m., another semi traveling southbound toward the scene was unable to stop. That truck reportedly lost control and ran off the right side of the road. A third semi-truck and a passenger vehicle also went off the right side during the incident, officials said.

The sheriff’s office said it received assistance from the Leslie Police Department, Michigan State Police, the Department of Natural Resources, Leslie Fire Department, Mason Fire Department, and the Michigan Department of Transportation.
