DETROIT, Mich. — A motorist says a frightening road rage encounter involving a semi truck unfolded Tuesday near Jefferson Avenue and Van Dyke in Detroit after the truck was allegedly speeding and driving recklessly in traffic.

According to the motorist, they became concerned about safety and began documenting the situation. The motorist alleges the semi driver noticed and then attempted to intentionally strike their vehicle, trying to move into the motorist’s lane.

The motorist says the semi then stopped, and the driver got out of the cab and rushed toward the passenger vehicle, appearing angry and confrontational. The motorist reports the driver hit the vehicle’s window while yelling.

The motorist also said their child was seated in the front passenger seat during the incident and witnessed the semi driver’s actions.

The victim says a report has been filed with Detroit police.
