CONRAD, IOWA — The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a semi-truck wanted in connection with illegal dumping after a set of loose tires reportedly came off the truck and bounced into a roadside dumpster near Highway 14 and County Road D-67, just outside of Conrad.

According to the sheriff’s office, the incident happened at the intersection of Hwy 14 and D-67. Deputies said the semi appeared to be attempting to dispose of trash illegally, but instead a pair of tires ended up bouncing directly into the dumpster area.

“The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to locate this semi that is wanted for illegal dumping,” the agency said. “In all seriousness please inspect your equipment before driving. This could have turned out much worse.”

Authorities did not immediately release identifying details about the truck. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.
