ARLINGTON, Texas — A man is in critical condition after becoming trapped beneath a tractor-trailer Saturday morning while performing routine maintenance at a light industrial facility in Arlington, according to the Arlington Fire Department.

Fire officials said crews were called to the scene at about 9:30 a.m. in the 12800 block of Colloway Cemetery. The victim was reportedly working underneath a hopper-style trailer when the incident happened.

Arlington Fire said the department’s Technical Rescue Team was immediately dispatched. When firefighters arrived, they found bystanders assisting by helping lift the trailer off the man. Crews then completed the rescue, successfully removing the victim within three minutes of arrival, officials said.

The man was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital for treatment. He has not been identified.
