A truck driver is facing multiple charges after allegedly making out with two shipments of Red Bull in New Jersey.

The truck driver, 36-year-old Christopher L. Hammond, allegedly stole two shipments of Red Bull valued at over $27,000 from a Wall Township beverage distribution center in June and July of 2021. He was charged with theft by unlawful taking, forgery and false uttering on Monday, May 23rd.

According to the Monmouth Daily Voice, Hammond was supposed to deliver the energy drinks to local businesses, but neither of the two shipments ever made it to their destinations. Evidence reveals that

Hammond forged two fake invoices for the Red Bull in an attempt to cover his tracks. It is still unclear where the beverages ended up.

“We at the Prosecutor’s Office remain committed to vigorously investigating and prosecuting significant instances of theft — regardless of the type of item stolen,” acting Prosecutor Lori Linskey said.

Hammond faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
