A truck driver is dead after colliding with another semi truck parked on Interstate 81 in Pennsylvania on Wednesday morning.

The accident happened on June 1st at around 4:30 a.m. near East Pennsboro Township.

According to NBC4i News, a tractor trailer was driving south on I-81 near mile marker 64.5 when it failed to negotiate a curve in the road and struck another rig parked along the roadway. The southbound truck then struck a light pole and overturned before skidding to a stop in the roadway. The parked truck also skidded as a result of the crash and came to a rest along the right shoulder of the Interstate.

The driver of the southbound truck was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the parked truck was not hurt. Both trucks were towed from the scene.

Pennsylvania State Police say that no charges have been filed in the incident as the crash still remains under investigation. Officers do say that the stopped truck was parked illegally.
