Updated list of state and local idling regulations can help truckers avoid fines

The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) released an updated listing of idling regulations that could save truckers from an expensive citation.

 

Each year, the ATRI shares an updated listing of idling regulations. This year’s list was updated in October 2021 and it provides detailed information on exactly how long you can idle, exemptions to the idling rules — and how much you can be fined if you violate the idling regulations.

The compendium also provides links to the county’s ordinance so you can view it yourself for additional details.
