Ontario police charged a driver after finding hundreds of cannabis plants in his vehicle during an inspection.
The plants were discovered after a vehicle was inspected in Arthur, Ontario, on July 13 as part of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s Operation Safe Driver Week initiative.
Wellington County OPP said that they discovered approximately 300 illegal cannabis plants during one of the inspections.
The plants were seized by police.
Driver Wai Sun Yeung, 58, was charged with possession of more than four cannabis plants (not budding or flowering), distribution of more than four cannabis plants (not budding or flowering), and operating without a valid Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration certificate.
