Truck driver found dead in his cab behind Nebraska truck stop two days after he was last heard from.

Police were called to the Love’s at 1300 Monroe Avenue in Norfolk, Nebraska at around 12:15 p.m. on Monday, March 11th for a welfare check on a truck driver.

According to Norfolk Daily News, the driver reportedly had prior medical issues no one had heard from him in two days. The unnamed driver was found dead inside of his truck cab in the truck parking lot behind the Love’s building. Pictures of the scene appear to indicate that the driver was operating a patriotic wrapped truck.

No official cause of death has been released, but Norfolk Police Capt. Michael Bauer says that no foul play is suspected. Bauer also says the death will likely be ruled as natural, and that what they found at the scene was supported by the driver’s medical history.

The truck driver has not been publicly identified.
