A semi truck hauling a wind turbine tower wrecked on Interstate 84 in Eastern Oregon on Wednesday.

The accident happened on March 13th near Baker City, Oregon near milepost 332 on I-84 just outside of the Weatherby Rest Stop, reported Apple Valley News.

The single-vehicle wreck forced the wind turbine tower off of the trailer, blocking several lanes of the interstate and destroying some of the concrete barriers.

It is unclear what caused the wreck or if anyone was injured as a result.

By Wednesday night, the Oregon Department of Transportation tweeted that crews were “making progress on getting this massive load out of the way,” but that the interstate was still closed in both directions.

“There are no alternate routes,” ODOT warned according to KTVZ. The roadway was completely reopened at around 4 a.m. on Thursday, March 14th.

No further information has been released.
