Indiana troopers are letting the trucking community know about ‘safe haven’ truck parking during next week’s solar eclipse.
On Monday, April 8, Indiana State Police – Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division will limit operations at the state’s eight weigh stations in anticipation of increased traffic during the eclipse.
ISP plans to stop normal weigh station operations at noon on April 8 to provide truckers with “safe haven” parking if drivers do not want to continue operating during the eclipse.
Weigh stations will provide parking for commercial vehicles only, and truck parking will be available until the facilities are full.
