Truck Driver Intentionally Crashes Into Tennessee Kroger After Causing Disturbance

Authorities say a truck driver intentionally drove through the entrance of a Kroger grocery store in Millington, Tennessee, shortly after entering the store on foot and causing a disturbance.
The incident occurred on the evening of April 9 at the Kroger on Highway 51, just outside Memphis. According to reports, 45-year-old Clarence Carter of Nashville first entered the store on foot, where he created a disruption. He then left the store, got into his truck, and deliberately crashed through the front entrance.
The Millington Fire Department reported that Carter attempted to drive away after the crash, but officers arrived quickly and removed him from the truck, placing him under arrest.
At the time of the crash, store employees were inside, but no injuries were reported.
Carter was transported to a local hospital for evaluation before being taken into police custody. He is now facing multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated assault, vandalism, and resisting arrest.
The damaged section of the Kroger store has been secured, while the rest of the location remains open for business.
