Charlotte Man Arrested in Louisiana After Over $1 Million and Drugs Found in Semi-Truck

A Charlotte man was taken into custody in Port Allen, Louisiana, on Friday, February 14, after Louisiana State Police discovered drugs and more than $1 million in cash inside his tractor-trailer during a traffic stop.
According to authorities, troopers conducted a commercial vehicle inspection just before 9:30 a.m. on a 2019 International Harvester tractor-trailer. During the stop, a trooper noticed a white plastic bag on the floorboard containing what appeared to be a large sum of cash.
With assistance from the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, police searched the truck and uncovered $1,147,638 in U.S. currency, approximately 183 pounds of suspected marijuana, and 7 grams of suspected cocaine.
The driver, 29-year-old Lenny Collado of Charlotte, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids and transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses.
Collado was transported to the West Baton Rouge Parish Prison, and the investigation remains ongoing.
