A serious multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer, a dump truck, and a passenger car shut down a section of Route 22 in Burrell Township, Indiana County, on Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Socialville and Villa Road, just before 4 p.m. Aerial footage from Sky 4 showed both the tractor-trailer and the dump truck with significant front-end damage.

One of the trucks was reportedly carrying asphalt, which spilled across the roadway during the crash. Crews worked for hours to clean up the material and clear debris from the scene.

Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that multiple individuals were injured in the crash. The extent of their injuries has not yet been released.

Route 22 remained closed for several hours while emergency responders and cleanup crews managed the scene. The crash is currently under investigation.
