Philadelphia police are investigating a cargo theft after two masked suspects stole approximately $22,000 worth of meat from a tractor-trailer parked behind a Lowe’s store in Northeast Philadelphia early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. on July 20, 2025, at the Whitman Square Shopping Center located on the 9700 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. According to investigators, two suspects forcibly entered the trailer and removed 40 boxes of meat, loading them into two vehicles before fleeing the scene.

Police later recovered eight of the stolen boxes near the crime scene. The suspects reportedly escaped in a newer-model gold Nissan.
