Truck Overturns on NJ Turnpike During Morning Commute in Springfield Township

SPRINGFIELD TWP., New Jersey — A crash between a box truck and a Freightliner caused a tractor-trailer to overturn Wednesday morning on the northbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike, just north of Exit 5 in Burlington County.
The incident occurred around 6:45 AM on October 1st, during the height of the morning commute. The collision led to a jackknife and overturn, blocking all northbound lanes and the left shoulder, and causing major delays for commuters.
According to WPVI, the driver of the box truck sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.
The crash was cleared quickly, with all lanes reopened by 8:43 AM, and traffic delays reduced to under three minutes. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
