GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — A semi-truck driver was arrested on alcohol-related charges Tuesday morning after crashing his rig and causing an hours-long road closure, according to the Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD).

The crash happened around 10:10 a.m. on Interstate 70 Frontage Road near 23 Road, where officers responded to reports of a single-vehicle rollover. Upon arrival, they found that the semi-truck had rolled off the roadway, blocking the area.

The driver, identified as 39-year-old William Bunting, was evaluated by the Grand Junction Fire Department for minor injuries and later arrested on charges of careless driving and driving under the influence.

According to The Grand Junction Sentinel, the I-70 Frontage Road remained closed for several hours as crews worked to remove the truck and clear debris. The road was reopened at 2:20 p.m., police said.
