Semi hauling guns and ammunition rolls on I-15, in Washington County, Utah
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah — A semi-truck hauling firearms and ammunition overturned Wednesday on northbound Interstate 15 near the State Route 9 junction, prompting a large emergency response to secure the cargo and clear the scene.
The Utah Highway Patrol said the truck rolled into the median, avoiding lane blockages and preventing what could have been a much more dangerous situation. Sgt. Mike Alexander reported that the crash was likely caused by a blown tire.

According to KUTV, one person was transported in stable condition, and no major injuries were reported. Traffic in the area slowed for several hours as crews worked to recover the truck and safely handle the ammunition and firearms on board.
Officials said the outcome could have been far worse had a fire started due to the truck’s cargo. The crash remains under investigation by Utah Highway Patrol.
