HAYCOCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — One person was killed Thursday morning in a head-on crash involving a pickup truck and a construction tractor-trailer on Mountain View Drive in Bucks County, authorities said.

According to WPVI and the Bucks County Independence, the crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Mountain View Drive (Route 563) and Pheasant Run Road, near the Lake Nockamixon boat launch area in Haycock Township.

Investigators said a red pickup truck collided head-on with a Haines & Kibblehouse tractor-trailer hauling a CAT loader. The impact killed the driver of the pickup, whose identity has not yet been released.

Pennsylvania State Police are leading the investigation to determine the cause of the crash. Mountain View Drive was closed for several hours between Durham Road (Route 412) and Old Bethlehem Road while troopers and crash reconstruction teams processed the scene.

No other injuries were reported. Authorities advised drivers to avoid the area during cleanup and investigation efforts.
