Fire crews from Pelahatchie responded quickly and worked to extinguish the blaze. Several of the vehicles on the trailer sustained heavy fire damage, while others were scorched by heat and smoke. The truck was removed from the scene by about 7 a.m., according to WLBT.

No injuries were reported. Deputies from the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office also responded to assist with traffic control and the ongoing investigation.

Authorities have not yet determined what caused the tire to ignite, and the incident remains under investigation.
