Border Patrol Finds Five IDs on Undocumented Truck Driver After I-10 Crash in Arizona
QUARTZSITE, Ariz. — A 29-year-old Uzbekistani national who authorities say illegally re-entered the United States was taken into custody Tuesday after a vehicle accident on Interstate 10 revealed he was carrying five different identification cards.
Border Patrol agents with the Blythe Station responded to the scene of the crash near Quartzsite, where they encountered the semi-truck driver and discovered he possessed five IDs — two from New York and three from Ohio, according to U.S. Border Patrol.
Agents said the man illegally entered the United States in April 2023 and was later ordered removed by an immigration judge in July 2025. Despite that order, he remained in the country and continued working as a truck driver.
According to US Border Patrol Yuma Sector, he was arrested for alien inadmissibility and will be processed for deportation, authorities said. Local law enforcement removed the semi-truck and trailer from the crash scene.
Border Patrol officials noted that the case highlights ongoing concerns about undocumented individuals obtaining fraudulent or multiple state IDs while operating commercial vehicles.
