Two killed after moped collides with tractor-trailer in Paterson
PATERSON, N.J. — Two people have died following a late-night crash in Paterson after the moped they were riding collided with a tractor-trailer, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The crash happened around 11:06 p.m. on November 22 in the area of Cianci Street and Market Street, where Paterson Police arrived to find two occupants of a black moped suffering from severe injuries.

Both victims were rushed to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center. One victim, an unidentified adult male, was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The second victim, a juvenile who had initially been listed in critical condition, died from injuries on Sunday, officials confirmed.
Investigators say the moped collided with a tractor-trailer, though the circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation. Authorities described the case as “active and ongoing.”
